Day 1(arrival) 13/09/2024

We took the bus to Bilbao at 12:30. When we arrived at the bus station, we got on another bus wich took us to the airport. 

There, we checked in the suitcases and had lunch. After that, we said goodbye to our parents, passed throught the security control and got on the plane. 

When we landed, we took our suitcases and our Irish partners recieved us with some posters. We got on another bus that took us to Subway to eat something. 

Finnally we got on the bus again, arrived at Kilfinane and went to our corresponding houses (I unpacked before going to sleep).

Day 2 (Limerick City trip) 14/09/2024

I woke up, got dressed and had breakfast (Cheerios with milk) before heading to the bus to go to Limerick. 

When we arrived, we went on a tour and had time to enter some stores. 

Then, we picked the bus and went to a mall to have lunch (at KFC) and enter some more shops. 

After that, we took the bus again and returned to Kilfinane. 

We went to Jessie's (Jimena's partner's house), watched a show and had dinner. Then Andrea and Amy and Sofía and Ellie arrived and we played Uno. We also talked a little bit and then I left. 

At home I put on my pijamas, ate a slice of pizza and watched a series in my tablet before going to bed.

Day 4 (Woodlands for sustainability tour & Adare) 16/09/2024

 I woke up, got dressed, had breakfast (milk and cereals) and left for school. 

When we arrived I got on a bus and headed to Woodlands (a sustainable hotel) where a very nice man guided us through the facilities of it. There was a little greenhouse where they let us pick little tomatoes (they tasted really good). At the end of the visit, they also gave us garlic.

After the visit we had a snack and entered the hotel, they offered us tea or coffee and some biscuits.

Then we took the bus to Adare where we had lunch in a beautiful park surrounded by nature.

The last place we visited was a castle in ruins.

We took the bus and returned to Scoil Pól. Ally had basketball training so I accompanied her. When it finished we went to the (hurling/camogie/gaelic football) pitch.

Finnally we went home, I took a shower and had dinner.

Day 5 (first day at Scoil Pól) 17/09/2024

 I woke up, got dressed, had breakfast and headed towards Scoil Pól.

The first thing I had was hiking, so I got on a bus wich took us to the place where we were starting to walk. They gave us sticks and we began. The first mountain wasn't hard, but the second one made me very tired. When we finished we returned to Scoil Pól and went to our next class, home economics.

In home economics we made cookies (they tasted really good) and after this class we had lunch. Then we were suposed to go to maths but the class was full so they sent us to GPA (the Area where we had had lunch). Finnaly we had Young Social Innovators.

After class we went to the pitch again and stayed there until Kiri (Ally's mum) came to collect us. 

When we arrived home we had to get ready because we were going to go to see Ally's camogie final. 

Finnally we returned home and had chinease food for dinner.

Day 6 (Ploughing) 18/09/2024

 I woke up at 5am because we had to be early at the train station to go to Ratheniska (the location of the ploughing). We took 2 trains and a bus to arrive. 

The ploughing is an agriculture festival where there are animals (cows and pigs), tractor racing, tractor exhibitions, food stalls, outlets or exhibitions of different brands and a fun fair.

We had a great time and even met other Spaniards. When we left, we went to a Domino's pizza to have dinner before taking the train back home, where I had a shower, put on my pyjamas and went to bed. 

Day 10 (Cork) 22/09/2024

 I woke up, got dressed and had breakfast before heading to the train wich we lost. So instead of waiting for the next one we went to a bus stop and got on a bus that took us to Cork.

When we arrived we ate at McDonald's and went to a place with food stalls and tables in the port where we met the other Spaniards.

After lunch we went to some shops (Mango, Dunnes, H&M, ...) and to Swoon (a dessert shop) and I bought a delicious strawberry and banana milkshake.

Then, we took a train to return (this time we didn't lose it).

We arrived at Kilfinane, went home, had dinner and went to bed.

Day 13 (Clare/surfing/Cliffs) 25/09/2024

I woke up, had breakfast, got dressed, and got on a bus in the Scoil Pól car park that took us to the Cliffs of Moher. It was freezing and raining so we didn't stay for a long time. We ate something and returned to the bus. This time it took us to the place where we were supposed to surf. I didn't end up surfing because of the weather but insted I drank a hot chocolate with marshmallows in a cosy cafeteria.

When the rest finished, we got on the bus again and returned to the Scoil Pól car park. Then, we went to Ally's grandmother's house. After a while Kiri came to collect us and brought us home where we had dinner (meat, boiled potatoes, garlic bread, peas and corn).

Day 14 (gaelic football tournament) 26/09/2024

I woke up, had breakfast, prepared my lunch, got dressed and went to school. There was a gaelic football  (similar to soccer but you can touch the ball with your hands) tournament (students from schools near Scoil Pól participated). I didn't pay much atention because I was very cold, but the children that were playing seemed to be having fun. 

Then we had lunch, and after it spanish, we did some exercises and Mrs. Fogarty played some songs in spanish.

After school we went to Ally's grandmother's house and had dinner. 

We went home, I had a shower and got ready to return to school as we were going to watch Irish dancing and music. We also danced and eated.

I put on my pajamas, watched something in Netflix and fell asleep.

Day 16 (Dublin) 28/09/2024

I woke up early, had breakfast and got dressed before getting in the car to go pick up Jessie, Jimena, Ally's grandmother and Kiri's aunt to go to the Cork train station. There, we got on a train wich took us to the Dublin train station.

When we arrived, Ally, Jessie, Jimena and I took a touristic bus wich showed us the city. The tour ended and we entered H&M, as it was next to the bus stop where we got off, it was the biggest and most beautiful clothes shop I've ever entered. 

Then, we went to Mc Donald's to have lunch, I got a chicken wrap. After that, we went to Carroll's (a souvenirs shop) and to loads of shops more (Victoria's Secret, Brown Thomas (a place with many famous and expensive brands such as Prada, Chanel, Dior, Armani, Victoria Beckham...), the Disney shop, Pull and Bear, Penneys...).

Then, it was time to return to the Dublin train station where we met with Kiri, her aunt, and her mother, so we took the tram.

We arrived home and I had to get ready to go to the pub with all the Spanish students and other Irish people. 

Finnally, I returned home and went to bed.

 

Day 23 (departure of the first Spaniards) 05/10/2024

I woke up at 6am as the bus was leaving early in the morning, had breakfast, got dressed and left home for school.

We took the bus to the Dublin airport where we helped the spanish students that were leaving with the baggage check-in and said goodbye to them.

Then we went to the toilet and got on the bus again, this time to go to a shopping centre to eat something and go shopping.

After that, we returned to the school where Ellie's mother and sister were waiting to take Ally and I home.

At home, I had dinner (Ally's nana had prepared chicken curry and rice) and went to bed.

Day 28 (last day at Scoil Pól) 10/10/2024

 I woke up, got dressed, had breakfast, prepared lunch and went to school.

First, I had musical, we danced footloose the hole hour. Then, I had English, I got bored because they only read a book that I didn't even have. 

After these two hours I had the short break (10') and had crackers as snack. 

The third hour was for Irish, we talked about Oíche Shamhna (Halloween). The fourth one was for Chemistry, ther was supposed to be an exam but instead, the teacher put Shrek 3. I didn't stay the hole hour because Mrs. Fogarty came to pick me up and her, Juan and me went to centra where she bought us donuts.

When we returned to Scoil Pól, it was time for lunch, so I went to buy the panini that I had ordered. I ate with the spanish students.

The last hour was for Spanish, my last class at Scoil Pól, we watched a movie in Spanish.

After school we returned home had dinner and drank a coffee with Kiri, then I played basketball, soccer... with Oisin and Fionn (Ally's brothers). Finnally, I went to bed.

Day 31 (back to Spain) 13/10/2024

I woke up early, got dressed, had breakfast, closed my suitcases and got on the car to go to centra, where Mrs. Fogarty and Loreen were waiting for Juan and for me to take us to the Dublin airport. I said goodbye to Kiri and Ally and her brothers.

In the airport we checked in the bags, passed the security control and through the duty free, got on a bus that took us to the terminal and waited there to get on the plane. In the plane we waited for another hour until it took off.

When we arrived, we took the luggage and reunited with our families. I had lunch and we arrived at Logroño.
